Friends ask, as a dietitian, what I am doing to support my family with the flu and viruses in the air. There are 3 key areas I focus on: optimal sleep, stress reduction through movement and laughter, and nourishing food. The above list highlights foods that support our immune system and may be able to minimize the response our body has to germs we are exposed to. I try to incorporate an item from each list at least daily. They are great ingredients and make for delicious eating, too!
